Shayne Terry's fiction has appeared in American Chordata, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Wigleaf, Okay Donkey, and elsewhere and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her work features modern sites of memory making—workplaces, towns and cities, families, museums—and examines how systems interact with the individual. She is interested in how these spaces have the potential to either dehumanize or humanize us, and how they often do both at once.
Born and raised in Illinois, Shayne has an MA in Literature from University College Dublin and lives in Brooklyn, where she is a founding member of the Rumble Ponies Writing Collective.
